LAUSD has a new online journal, and although I'm not quite sure what the web site is intended to accomplish, right now it has two stories about magnet schools - one is about students who found a good fit at a highly gifted magnet school (more about gifted magnet schools here) and the other is about what the magnet coordinator at a highly gifted magnet high school does.The Journal site isn't entirely functional - the district buttons on the right aren't clickable, and there aren't a ton of stories yet. It also doesn't say how often it will be updated. But there are some useful features, including a news feed for LAUSD news.
I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the Journal site and letting you know if anything interesting pops up there!
